You do not need a perfect brief. A rough idea, a few photos or a favourite old piece are enough to start the conversation.
Tell me what you would like made, what the piece should do, and whether you prefer a plain or decorated version. The current usual lead time is around 3 weeks depending on workload, but gifts or fixed deadlines can often be discussed individually.

Write, call or send a message
A phone call is fine for the first contact, but please send the commission details in writing afterwards – by form, e-mail, WhatsApp or Messenger. That keeps the brief, measurements, model and motif clear for both sides.
